• Well went to the track tonight. not all that great :(

my first run sucked i spun for about a second.
1. 18.414 @ 81.58MPH
2. 17.150 @ 82.52MPH
3. 17.131 @ 82.76MPH
Does this sound right for a Bone Stock 96 Firebird Auto? I seemed kinda low to me.

Those are some high times! whats going on?

Ur mph are way off, most stock 3.8 auto's are running in the 87-89mph range. Are you letting off too early at the end othe track causeing you to have such low mph? Hmmm, those times seem way off.

What kind of conditions were u running in?

Yeah, you should be runnin mid to high 15's. But it's just your first time at the track. Anything can happen. Just keep practicing your launches.

nope i keep it floored all the way past the line, i usually stall to about 2000 then hit the gas on launch. Another thing, is i'm running my car just like it is on the street so it probably really heavy.. that the only thing i can think of..

something's got to be wrong with your car for that low of mph.

the conditions here in OK SUCKED for track lately you probably spun a lot, but those MPH are HORRIBLE for a 3.8 .... even in full street trim...something must be wrong with your car.

Unless you live in the far north I wouldn't even go to the track again until October...lol

F-bodies do not like warm weather

also you might be revving to high. some stock converters are looser than others, but i'd try to launch in the 1300-1500 range if i were you

ok, do you have 3.08s???

if so those times are correct for a stock V6 Fbody.

a bone stock Fbody w/ 3.08s run crappy times.

Trust me, I know from experience....
