Yesterday when I was getting my SLP CAI installed, the mechanic(a guy I otherwise trust) gave me a suggestion that sounds interesting...but being the skeptic I am, I wanted to solicit some experienced opinions from people with our cars.
I have a 97 and the CAI filters hang in a relatively enclosed compartement by the front left wheel. There is a small door that unbolts for you to get at the filters or the turn signal lights for that matter(as all 97 owners know).
Anyways, he was suggesting that when I head to the track, to put a bag of dry ice in that compartment right below the filters to increase the cold air the filters take in.
It sounds reasonable... perhaps expensive? What do you guys think?
