I want a set of 255/50/16 drag radials. But I also want to use them on the street this summer. They dont need to last a long time just enough to get me through the summer. The only drags I can find in this size is the BFG, I hear the Nitto's are better for street but do they have them in 255/50/16? Because I cant find them. Where is a good place to buy these tires and which ones should I go with?

BFGDRs are the only drag radial in 255/50/16. They don't last long. Mine only lasted 6K miles.
I have run Nittos since and the first set I had went 15K miles and was great in all kinds of weather except snow.
The set I have on the TTA has almost 10K miles on it and going strong. These are 245/50/16.
I think the Nittos are better than the BFGs, at least in my case. I have better 60' times, they last longer and I use them as my everyday tires.Rob
89 TTA #1387
11.87@115.39

I run nitto's also
245 50 16's as my daily driver tire.
I drive to vermont with them, drive to maryland with them. I am all over the place with them.
I am quite happy with them.
They are completely fine in the rain.
I haven't tried snow yet :D
I've heard bf's get maybe 6000 miles
Nitto's supposedly get 12,000 miles.
I'm happy with nitto'sRace car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
