I've been to the track a couple times and I have a decent amount of mods I'd say to get 1/4 mile times in at least the mid 15's. But the tires I have are the stock 215/60's and the best I usually can do is low to mid 16's. I did get a 15.89 once (emphasize once). I'm just wondering if upgrading the tires can get me in the mid 15's.

it all depends on if you spin at the track with the 215's?
if you dont spin on the launch and are launching at your desired RPM and not spinnin when you hit 2nd then there would really be no need for tires
BUT if you want to launch higher but cant because of wheel spin then the tires and more importantly LSD would help you

No, I typically don't spin or spin very little on takeoff. I usually launch around 1500-2000 rpm. I have noticed after launching though when I floor it, The car seems to not go as fast as it should be. Almost like it's getting too much gas all at once. So, if I had bigger tires and could launch at higher rpm's, then I might get quicker 60' and 1/8 times?SLP C.A.I./Whisper Lid
K&N Filter
Flowmaster 50 series Exhaust
Catco 3\" high-flow cat w/
2.5\" I-pipe
Hurst Billet Shifter w/
Lou\'s short stick
