• Another Trip to the Track

well, i got to the start line and they made us back up, cuz they had to clean an oil slick up off the track, so my car had a chance to cool down. So i don't know if it was the cooler engine, or shift kit that made the difference it was only about 4 thenths of a difference between my best run before the shift kit. here's my

best run from Friday night.

R/T .487 (jumped the line)
60' 2.619 (ouch!)
330 7.176
1/8 10.922 @ 66.23MPH (sad my 1/8 time is some of your 1/4)
1000' 14.111
1/4 16.798 @83.61MPH

my best run last time (before shift kit)
R/T .955
60' 2.715
330 7.364
1/8 11.174 @ 65.16MPH
1000' 14.411
1/4 17.131 @82.76

Your 60ft is still killing you. Your mph in the 1/4 is pretty low, too. You should be running at least low 16's with that mph though. Your comment about the 1/8th-mile times isn't true either, unless we have some 10-sec TTA's running around here. Sounds like you have traction issues still. What was the engine temp at when you ran, & how did you launch this time? Don't sweat those R/T's btw, they do nothing to affect your 1/4mile e/t or mph.

yeah i know.. i'd say engine temp was around 180 or so. i don't think i'm spinning, but i may be, oh and about the 1/8th comment, i post on two different boards, the other is mostly V8's. i just forgot to edit it out. anyway, i know my tires aren't the best, but i just don't think they are really spinning that much, I have cooper cobra XST's here's a link to the actual tire Cooper Cobra XST i mainly chose these for price and looks, but that was before i was interested in performance.
