My stock 0-60 time was 8.6, that's with power braking and reving the rpm's up to 1800.

Now that I've added a CAI, Whisper lid, and K&N filter I'm running 7.89 0-60.

Do these numbers fit or am I doing something terribly wrong because after those mods I was hoping to get it down to no more than 7.5 secs 0-60.

What did you time yourself with? Gtech? Stopwatch?

I timed myself with a regular stopwatch.

I know about the human error BS, and I have also heard that the speedometer is a few 10ths of a second behind in registering any speed when you gun it. I also think that's questionable.

Under hard acceleration the speedo can be off several MPH. Stop watch timing is useless IMHO.

Most N/A cars are running 6.5ish to 7.5ish, I guess?

there's a guy that has a website that allows you to calculate 0-60mph based on 60' times, 1/8 time and mph.

                  it's a DSM owner's site.
i got the link from here a few months ago, however, i cant find it anymore...
