You should hit the 14 mark with no problem as long as you get a good launch.

I'm wanting to hit 14.3. My list of mods is already in this thread, so what you do you all think I should do to hit a low 14? I was thinking a Yank 3500 stall? I'm not going to go with a shift kit cause the HPP3 provides a very firm shift already. My main advantage right now is the 4.1 gear. What does every think I should do to get my ET down.

Thanks

3000-3500 stall converter, transgo shift kit, torque arm, 1.9:1 roller rockers, aluminum driveshaft. the converter will get you better acceleration, shift kit will use even less clutch engagement than you do now, putting power to the ground longer and wasting less of it trying to shift soft, roller rockers will help the heads breathe better since you have intake, exhaust, and headers, aluminun driveshaft will let you put more power to the ground by weighting less and also it will let you rev quicker, and the torque arm will help w/ off-the-line traction, helping you accelerate quicker.

4.10 Gears in an automatic!! WOW!
uhh you will be in overdrive by the time the 1/4 is over...

and a converter with 4.10's better get some slicks cause there wont be any traction..

i think 4.10 are too much for an automatic..

dont expect to run low 14's with out a stall

4.1 gears is the only mod that has shown very notieable gains. It drives like a completely different car. I honestly think it's the best mod that I've done - but that's me and my opinion. By the way I do have slicks Nitto 555R. I am getting a 3500 stall converter, torque arm, and aluminum drive shaft. With these additions I don't think it would be unreasonable to run a 14.5 quarter.

Since Shane ran a 14.92@90mph with 3.42's I would think you could see a 14.5x-14.6x if you hook good off the line. Also where does you car shift? My cousin has 4.10's in his '92 and he shifts at 6000rpm so he's able to run the 1/4 in just 3 gears. If your car shifts below that on ever gear your going to most likely end up finishing in 4th gear like NBMA4V6 said. Which if that happens even though you have a high ratio in the rear your times are going to suffer. I mean its just not a gear you want to be in for acceleration and 1/4 mile testing. Just keep that in mind if you don't run like you want to the first time out. Just figure out a way to finish in 3rd and you should do fine.

I'm assuming your PCM is programmed for the gears using the Hypertech. So your shift points are correct and top speed is still 118 or more. What kind of lower control arms and panhard rod do you have? You should be hitting 14.8 or better with those mods. I'm assuming the car and the track are in good shape. What's the track's elevation? I know you got some hills down in KY, since I've been there. If it's close to sea level, then shoot for 14.8s or better. Any worse and you have some problems to work out.

I have aluminum lower control arms, and a BMR Adjustable pandhard rod. The car is in great shape, only 12K on her. Since the HPP3 didn't have the 4.1 gear option, I had to trick the PCM and tell it I had 24" tires, now it's only 4-5 MPH off at 65. Shift points - I can tell it to shift anywhere I want to. My shift points are now set at 6400 which with the gears being a little off is really about 6100. Track is at 550 above sea level, it's in good condition. I really think with a stall coverter and torque arm I can hit low 14s.

Yea with Nittos I think a 14.6 is what you would run. Make sure u get them Nittos hot!! Also stall the converter up to about 2K or so.
