    i've said it once, i'll say it 20 billion times more. The block will crack before it even runs a 10s 1/4 mile.
    With that much boost, the walls are just TOO thin to handle it.
    a GN motor would be a wiser, and possibly cheaper choice.

      I'll test your theory Steve. ;)

      My car now weighs around 2990 lbs WITHOUT me...

      I can still shave another 200 lbs I think.

      She just has to hold to the 1000'.... then let her break all she wants I'll cost to the 1/4 and still run a #... screw MPH.

        <hr></blockquote>I believe the 3800 block is stronger than the 3.8 block. I thought the newer blocks have stronger webbing in them? The 3.8 is good to about 550-600HP. Then you have to step up to the stage blocks.

          a 3.4 will probably crack the block at that much hp, I don't know about a 3.8 though [img]smile.gif[/img]

            Well perhaps so due to boosted torque, since the horsepower under the curve is far more important than peak horsepower.

            My calculations are, I must admit, more for the basic normally aspirated engine curve... So, I could very well be wrong - but it gives a general idea.
