first time!! not so good

SO when I went to the track a few weeks ago for the first time, other than a piss drunk kid that never turned at the end of the track and running into a patch of trees at about 70 consequently breaking almost every bone in his body, I only got to race once

I pulled a 17.2 1/4 mile, with a really bad r/t mainly from inexperiance and spinning

My question is, seeing that I hit a trap speed of 92 mph, do you guys think I could hit high 14s with a really good launch and all my mods?

what was your r/t and 60'?? sounds like you need some drag radials to help you perfect those launches! some kid was running drunk?! sounds like he deserves this months darwin award. [img]graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img]

ehhe plenty of peopel run drunk at my track, I don't care, i am more worried about the guys warming nitrous bottless with blowtorches.

hehe once had a guy practice WOT launches, pisss drunk in a mid 70s monte Carlo, thing had to weigh 2 tons. doing all htis right behind me.

Well back to your run. You need practice, 14s with a 92, I think is unlikely but possible you are in low 15s. You jsut need practice at the track.

We need more info about your car and try to post your whole timeslip.

I added a couple things to my sig

As far as tires go, I plan on upgrading to kumhos from some crappy michelins I have on there now.

I also plan on solving a slipping clutch with a Star Stage 2 that I have waiting on my workbench.

As of right now, I'm trying to fix some misfiring issues before I race again.

I found my timeslip and it was a little different than I remembered, bear in mind that this is my first race ever.

I can cut a 2.2 on stock suspension tires, everything. Are you burning out bad on take offs? Practice is what you need. Then when you learn how to drive try getting some slicks.

haha, I told you my take-off really blew
I basically didn't move off the line till I shifted into 2nd becuase I burned 1st

It was pretty bad and I was nervous as hell
Then I waited in the pit for another 2 hrs and never got to run agian becuase this dumb shmuck had an accident
