Oh boy I'm so embarassed!! My first time at the track last night. My first run was this:
    R/T: 1.58
    60': 2.696
    330: 7.490
    1/8: 11.47
    MPH: 82.23
    1000: 14.874
    1/4: 17.773
    MPH: 77.54
Sad huh? I know, I was wondering what would help me out. I know some of it was inexperience but a lot of it was my car. I have a 1995 Firebird 3.4L. The only mods I have now is a new exhaust and the B&M shift plus kit. My car is also an Automatic, if anyone out there has any advice on how to race with an automatic please reply. I really appreciate your time thanx

umm how did you have 82 mph at the 1/8th and then 77 at the end of the 1/4?

Dang, that's some mad wheelspin for an A4. Did you drive through the waterbox & not kick the water off the tires before you staged? Try stalling the car up to about 1600rpm, then launching off that. If you floor it off the line & spin, don't hit the gas quite as hard the next go-around. You should easily be pulling between a 2.1-2.3 60ft, & this will affect your overall e/t quite a bit.

Are you sure that MPH in the 1/8th is correct? 82mph is very fast for the 1/8. Even if you got the two backwards, 77 is still very fast, especially for an automatic 3.4. As for the 60' times, you obviously spun pretty bad off the line. Work on that launch and you should pull some much better times. I don't know much about launching automatics, so look for advice from the other automatic guys here.

you also need to realize what altitude your at!! i was in Hobbs, New Mexico with my dad racing, and by our air computer, it was 7500 Density Altitude!!! it killed my dads car, we ran about .3 slower than we do at the local track, and its normally 5k-6k DA,
