I CAN TELL THIS GUY HAS NEVER BEEN TO THE DRAG STRIP!

Street racing is so ****ed up. Its fun but way dangerous and the risk of getting cought is too high. I have been cought before from street racing. I still do it. Because its the stupid *** in me. And I will always still do it. But the Drag Strip is way funner. Why lower tire pressure? Why get intake, exhaust, nitrous, blah blah, TO GO FASTER! If its not your thing then dont bad mouth people that like it. And if you havent tried it by now you are missing out. The drag strip is a whole different world unlike racing on some back road. I suggest you get your but to the track so you can understand us.

ok well my comments onthe following (in order of posts)

Did it belong in drag racing...yea probably

cobain...did I contradict myself in a few areas...I might have, but black97cam nicely put my point together.

Magnus: nice way to brag...btw if it wasn't for this summer weather and stupid humidity I should be able to top that 15.2

pgriffith: I've been to the track about 4-5 times for a total of approximately 20 runs. And in terms of street racing, I have NEVER raced at an organized group of racers. I have gone and watched a few races for enjoyment purposes, but never actually participated. The risk is too great. HOWEVER, if I come across a race-able car on the street and the conditions permit, I may just give it the gas.

I prep my car cause putting down over 300ftlbs of torque isn't all that easy in street trim.

I:
-Take my left headlight out(it provide fresh cool air to the air filter)
-Put on drag radials for the reason mentioned above
-take out the spare tire/jack

This is good for 3 to 4 tenths for me. Every once in a while, I will run in full street trim just for giggles. This "prepping" helped me beat an LS1 last time at the track, and that makes it all worth it.
