  • First time out....16.1...advice?

about 96~ degree temps, pretty humid, pretty low to sea level at River City Raceway near Seguin, Texas.

Best run out of about 7 running basically stock with just free ram air and really ****ty tires, worse then stock ;) .

    Reaction Time= 0.5408
    60 FT= 2.4725
    330 FT= 6.8251
    1/8 ET= 13.5286
    1/4 ET 16.1633
    1/4 MPH= 85.14

I was kind of disappointed, was hoping to break 15's. I know my tires and gears are killing me, anyone know what else may be up?

the problem is it's shifting into 3rd RIGHT BEFORE the end of the 1/4th so it's almost like me braking at the end.

3rd... damn, I sometimes shift into 4th at the end of the track. Course we have very differetn setups.

You need to work on the 60', bad tires or not, you could drop it a 1.5 tenths, would have been 15s. he is right your MPH is low, technically, my car is making more power then yours which shouldn't be happening.

Air filter, fuel filter, injector cleaner, upper intake/TB cleaning, maybe ignition?

agreed, your 60' blows goats :D its ok though

my best 60' with 3.08/open was a 2.27 I believe and that was on my heavy azz 17's. A really cheap modification would be to just change where you race....*cough* HRP *cough* ;) Hooks damn good there. Might want to wait for a few more mods before you make that trip though, and possibly wait until it cools down.
