  • trying to get to 14's

I am currently running 15.2. I really eant to get in the 14's. Would limited slip and 3.73's put me there? How much would these take off my time?

    Current Mods
CAI, K&N, whisper lid, HPP3, borla catback, fan switch, STB

What gears do you have now?

My guess would be yes under good conditions if you have anything lower than 3.42's

going from 3.42's open rear with your mods to 3.73's and LSD I would think should cut .2-.3 eaisly!

I think you alredy have LSD?!? I thought that if you have the 3.42s you have the LSD? I know that the 3.08s and 3.23 have an open rear.
            Correct me if im wrong!

he may have lsd, he may not. if you ever have the rear wheels of the ground, spin one rear tire. if the opposite tire spins backwards, it's an open diff., if it spins the same way, it's lsd. a Torque converter in the 2800-3200 stall range will put you into the 14's easily, just be sure you put in a external transmission cooler. B&M makes one for our cars. This is just to deal w/ the extra heat from the converter slipping to 2800-3200 rpms instead of the stock 1800 rpm's. if you chose to do 3.73's, make sure you put in Lsd if you don't already have it.

Also, if you get a aluminum or carbon fiber driveshaft, you'll drop a tenth or 2. lighter driveshafts allow more engine power to be put to the ground as well as allowing the engine to rev quicker, getting you into the sweet spot in the powerband.

Thanks for the input. I think I will go with 3.73's and get a converter. I will let you know what times I run.

Just look for G80 on your door jam or in your glove box to see if you have a LSD.

I do not have LSD. I didn't see the code on the door and I liftd the car and spun the tires. They went opposite directions. I will be ordering it soon. Thanks for the help.
