• Stuck at 14.2@99mph with the 75 shot

At least I'm consistent... too bad it wasn't brackets tonight. My first 3 passes:

R/T ... 1.160 <--sit on the light much? ;)
60' ... 2.265
330 ... 6.107
1/8 ... 9.282
MPH ... 78.66
1000...11.951
1/4 ...14.230
MPH ... 99.40

R/T ... 0.880
60' ... 2.205
330 ... 6.144
1/8 ... 9.314
MPH ... 78.82
1000...11.982
1/4 ...14.257
MPH ... 99.29

R/T ... 1.046
60' ... 2.280
330 ... 6.105
1/8 ... 9.278
MPH ... 78.72
1000...11.949
1/4 ...14.228
MPH ... 99.52

That was on street tires. Brought my NEW Draglites with nittos on them, but forgot the lugs to put them on with... doh!

Tranny is an M5, SPEC stage 2 clutch w/lightened flywheel. The setup is a custom NOS/Edelbrock wet system. Kumho tires, 255/50. I wasn't having much trouble on the launch, 2.2s is respectable for street tires. On the 75 shot I didn't seem to be spinning much down the line, although I may have spun going into second, hard to tell. I should be seeing 13s on the 75 shot and I also think the MPH should get to the 100s (one pass was at 99.97)

What's going wrong here?

i guarantee if you had some sticky tires you wouldbe like sub 2 60 ft which would be 13s easy good job with a 75 shot

You're launch sucks
j/k.. but seriously, you need to powerbrake and bring the rpm's up before you take off. Your 99mph trap is awesome. You should be hitting at least a 13.9 et.

Thats what happens when you're used to launching on the drag radials, then buy some new weld draglites for them and forget the special lugs to put them on with, so you're stuck with the street tires. DOH!

Yeah, nothing personal but it is in your launch.
Your mph is perfect!!!!
I run 13.0 at 99 w/ a 1.8 60 ft w/ 323 gears on a 75 tnt/ nos hybrid kit
It is all in the launch
Typically for every .1 in the 60 foot that is like .2 in the 1/4
So lets say you start seeing 2.0 or even 1.9 60 ft's That could be .4 or maybe .6 quicker (in theory)
So a 13.8 or 13.6 should be obtainable in your car

try a aluminum or carbon fiber driveshaft. you'll be able to get up to your powerband quicker and put more power to the ground. I suggest aluminum since carbon fiber is 800 bucks. that, and if you're losing traction w/ your tires, get ZR1 rims(17x11) w/ 315-30-ZR17 tires on them. w/ lsd, you won't be spinning tires into smoke anymore.

315 30 17's?
He wants some traction.
Sure they are wide but there is no sidewall for flexing.
That is a tire for ahndling and no traction.
My 275 40 17's used to grab in overdrive at about 80-85 mph.
I have cut low 1.7's (1.731) with a 245 50 16 nitto drag radial.
That tire is only 9.64 inches wide
I now run a et street 26 x 11.5 x 16 which are 11.5 inches wide and I have seen a best of 1.630
You are talking about a 12.4 inches wide tire with no sidewall.
You do not need the widest tire out there.

You guys just won't leave that lauch alone will ya?
Yes, I know I'll have better 60s with drag radials, thats why I bought them a month ago. However, I didn't have my drag radials on that night. Is a 2.2 60' not at least semi-respectable for street tires? Maybe the mph is right, but it's just toying with me being so close to 100.

I put down a 2.2 60' on stock suspension and stock size tires. I would say its pretty respectable. I have seen alot of cars go faster with this kind of 60'.
