16.03 at 83???

    16.03 at 83???

    I went to the track last night, ran a 16.03 at 83 mph. I dont know why this is so bad... i have borla rear section and SLP CAI. Heres what I did wrong :D idnt powerbrake, at all, and let of the brake for about a 2 foot rolling start. My 60' time was 2.8, and my 1/8 was 10.3. I have a 1997 with 3.42 and LSD (Y87) also the temp was about 90 and the air was thick...what should I be able to run?

        mph should be more like 90~

        seriously, you should be atleast mid/low 15's with those mods.

          2.8 60s foots should be 2.2-2.3. Then you'll be ok.

            What was the weather like? Believe me, I found out temperature and weather alone can make a big difference when drag racing. Plus your elevation will make some difference.

              Where you racing at the Tulsa track or at Thundervalley? Get that 60ft down and you will see a mid 15.

                the MPH is very slow I think you need ot look into some routine maintenance on your car.

                even at high 15s, I trap 85ish mph, and I have 3.42s with a 5-speed.
