I have seen motor trend articles that say that an auto 3.8 runs the zero to sixty in 7.1 i was wondering what the test results are for the manual stock and what the stock quarter is.
sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but i wanted to know
thanks

First of all you should check our timeslips page, you'll see the general range we run in.
Low 15's stock is common for almost all cars. The 3.08 open rear unmodified stock automatics are the slowest, they run in the upwards of 16.0 at times. A good driver in a manual, with posi, and a good set of rubber might can pull a 14.9 stock out of one.
0-60 times are more like 6.5-7.0 depending on the car. Stock manual cars are probably the quickest due to gear reduction and no torque converter slip when comparing stock cars. 6.4 would be on the fast but still acceptable side if the driver was superb.
So, 0-60 in 6.8 or so, and a 1/4 in 15.2 @ 89-91mph is about right for a new 3.8L.
