Well as you all can see I'm in Phoenix, AZ... Its hot and dry. On top of that it will be my first time to the track. Obviously I'm going to try to make night runs, but even then I'm sure its at least 100 degrees out at the track. What type of precautions will I need to take before and during runs? Any input appreciated.

Yah its pretty hot out here. ESP the pavement. I'm not so worried about the times, as the topic of discussion in a previous thread. I'm just worried about things like what tire pressure sound be etc. Does hot air/pavement make you spin tires more or less... should I go with 30 or 35 psi for the rear tires... Testing my launches on the street and I get wheel spin pretty quick, can only idle at about 1000, any more and they spin. Of course thats without the pressure taken out.2000 V6 Camaro A4
Pics and Mods

If you have your stock tires or something similar, don't expect much out of them.
Hot weather & pavement will raise your PSI (I think 1 psi for every 10 degrees)
But that is really only a concern if you filled your tires in 70 degree weather and then the temp raised to 100. PSI is PSI if you take the reading at the track.
As for what PSI, experiment, make a run if you spin, lower a couple psi, if better, keep lowering until it gets worse (or you hit about 24 psi, I wouldn't go lower on radials, in fact, that is pushing it a little).2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'
