how did you come to this conclusion? (btw, if it's a really dumb reason, just don't tell me that way i can tell my friends i have one of the fastest stock fbods without giving them a really stupid reason...hehe ;) ;) )
I hold to the fact that there are some f-bodys that will never be fast no matter what you do, I've got tons of bolt ons, 3.42 LSD, 70 shot of NOS, and I have still only run a 15.2 @ 92.
Ok...After being on the phone with the crane ignition tech line and james from vector I think this is a fuel issue. Apparently my fuel pump is a weak one and I need to add an external fuel pump or a boost-a-pump. If anyone knows a site with a good deal on either of these please let me know. Thanks for all the suggestions.

You must have gotten a lemon. I know a friend who got a fuel pump like you want I will ask him for the address.

Well the two fastest cars on this site are '97s. So I figure either they take better to mods, or they're just better for some unknown reason. I guess that's not much of a reason for you, but that's I what I think.

No they're older and have had mroe time to become modified I think the 00-02s are the quickest stock for stock myself due to the intake and exhaust improvements, not to mention the PCM improvements (except for the 2002 where a 160 stat is taboo)
Man your car isnt running right for all the work into it. I have a 2000 camaro with 3.42 and such with a 75 shot and i run a 13.5

Yes first a tap it.
As for fuel upgrades, I think shirl has a piggie back fmu on her powerdyne.
I thought all powerdyne kits come with a fmu, do you have one?
That or a walbro in tank 255 lph pump.
But a tap it first
Or wideband dyno

2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet
You just need more converter. I didnt see what kinda stall you had, but at that mph/HP.........So what kinda of stall converter do you have?
RiceyRS you might want to look into one also.
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.
The rest I have blown.
I talked with james again today and he is sure that it is a fuel problem. The fuel presure gauge should read bettern 69-75 and I am only getting 52. He reccomended a boost a pump so I ordered the MSD one this morning. Hopefully I will install this and it will all work fine. He said that if the fuel pressure is even 4lbs low it can rob lots of HP and I am 20 below where I should be. I am looking into getting the auto tap program as well.
12secondv6: I do have the FMU on my car but according to James some fuel pumps just seem to be a little weaker than others when they come from the factory so hopefully the msd boost a pump will do the trick.
Slow-n-ugly: I have the stock converter on my car.

quote:
Originally posted by Superv6bird: I created a little device to help tighten up the supercharger belt so that it wouldn't slip so bad. I can get the belt VERY tight but eventualy the belt strecthes and it needs tightened again. At the track I also added some belt dressing to help prevent it from slipping.

Can you explain/take pics of your "device". Ive been trying to find a way to tighten that damn thing.
Hey guys. For starters I’ve always been a big car guy, I love all types of cars and can appreciate all types of engineering. I’ve always been a Chevy...
