• 2 new personal records at the track tonight....

I hit a 2.078 60' time on my Cooper Cobras, 235s.

Revved it an launched hard no spin, it was my best run for the night.
R/T .663
60' 2.078 Do I have the best 60' for street tires?
330 6.426
1/8th 10.045
mph 67.85
1000 13.163
1/4 15.807
mph 85.23

I raced a GSR that ran a 15.809, so it was a nice close race.

I am very very inpressed with this run, it was very hot an humid, I would say high 80s and enough humidity for everyone to be drenched in sweat.

Only difference mod wise was I put my rear tires at 40 psi, hoping maybe it owuld help me beyond the launch since i have no traction problems. And I added a 160* stat, and watter wetter with coolant flushing. Kept the temops down but I doubt it increase performance that much

My other personal record ws my worst ever run in the 1.4, I missed 2nd gear twice and had my firend Matt (Choopi) in the passenger seat with a video camera.

17.32@81.22

I can't wait till fall and winter need some of those 60 degree no humiity nights outside so I can get some real times agian .

other things there was a girl in a 99+ v6 stang the ran some how ran a 17.34, another guy in a black v6 with a wing that ran a 16.5, both were autos.

Also saw a stock drivetrained turboed GSR run a 16.4@106 mph  he spun 60% of the track. That might be in the 13s, if he had traction.

Typically best results are found with around 30 psi in the rear tires.
But we all know all cars are different.
Your car might work perfect with 40 psi in the rear tires and whatever tire spin you did in the burn out box.
BTW, I pull 1.630 60 ft's :D

james, didn't you say once that it's best to put 40 psi in the back two tires and 30 in the front ones when you race, or am i wrong here? is it just the opposite of that maybe?
