(90's mustard gt beat me by .958, w/77.07 trap speed. not much of a driver )

pass 3:
rt: 1.023
60ft: 2.433

1/8mph: 63.10
1/4et: 17.346

1/8et: 11.174
1/8mph: 63.01
1/4et: 17.396
1/4mph: 78.78

1/4 tank of gas, warmed up the tires last three races. Kept in D the first run, last 3 in L(1), lunch @ 2500, shift into 2 @ 4000-4500, keep in 2 rest of race.

maybe change nothing for saterday & bracket race w/dial in @ 17.3 (the boat being my 76 bonnie, 400ci, 1/4 tank of gas, rac weight around 4800lbs)

ok, let the laughing begin

That almost sounds like the 84 firebird body is too heavy for the little 3.4L to push... you need some serious weight reduction or something isn't quite right with that 3.4L.

However, you made it to the end of the track, and if you had a hell of a good time thats what its all about. Times can only improve

these are times for the birds' BIG older brother the 76 Bonneville. and yes, even for a 400ci motor, it is a lot of weight to be pushing. Just doing an in-family rivalry

probably would be better if I still had a 2.8 in the car. The 3.4 cars here seem to be running a whole lot faster.

Hell that's not bad. That's a heavy car! Just gotta get more HP from that motor... torque isn't a problem lol.

weigh your car, maybe some how in the swap something is not hooked up or running right, my understaning is that 3rd gens are actually lighter then 4th gens slightly.
