Tom, I just got done updating the page actually.

Yes, lane was banned. He is a shady character. I did talk with the guy quite a bit though and do think it was possible for him to run those #'s.. His coverter was pretty dang loose and was able to stall the car up very high. Last I heard it was getting even worse for a stock converter.

As for Tyrunt, he raced at HRP. Need I say more? Ok I will.. His car was setup very well. He too was an iffy guy but knew what to do to the car to get it to run well. He had gearing which helped too.

timeslips.firebirdv6.com is not only for firebirdv6 members. It's for ALL fourth gen V6 owners (including some third gens). Weather I have a personal grudge against the owner or not does not get in the way of me adding their slip. If they ran the # and can convince me of so, I will add their slip.

I do believe both Tyrunt and Lane ran those #'s.

ALso, there is a guy on the outkast board. A member some of us know. RedbirdV6. Well he ran some very impressive #'s on nitrous. ALmost hit 12's. I will be sending him a personal e-mail asking that he submit his times to the page as well.

Our timeslips page is without a doubt THE biggest V6 fbodies timeslips page out there. THere is no other that even comes close. I'll aslo be adding a few more cool features to the page to make it even better.

Things I'll be adding:
Size of N20 shot and LB's of boost.
Heads/Cam flags
Altitude
Raceweight

I'm even going to do some stats on the bottom of the page to show how the camaros are doing vs the firebirds, how the auto's do vs the manuals and maybe more.

If some complete jerk comes to our board.. say locally Tom in the chicago area. You and I go see him run 11's at US 41 on a 200 shot.. there is Proof he ran 11's.. but is a complete jerk and gets banned and outkasted. The fact remains that he did run 11's. He would have the record and others need to know about it. I would in fact add his slip.

If you run a # in a V6 (that qualifies), I strongly encourage you submit your timeslip to the database. Especially if your #'s are very impressive. ;)

If you have V8 owners doubting V6'ers, saying that there aren't many of us who race, or we're all slow.. just link them to the timeslips page. We're a big group and many of us are hard core. We do run #'s and take pride in our work.

Thank you for your Concern Tom. It is always very... interesting. ;)

I have an idea. Since I am not on the list you are thinking who cares? :D But if you are going to add altitude, what about air temperature. That would be a valid parameter since the 3.8L is so sensitive to heat. I know you don't want it get crazy, just a thought though.

If you take 3rd gens why no TTAs? It's a 3.8 V6.

We do not accept TT timeslips. I've had this conversation one too many times. This is Our timeslips page (3800 series II, 3.4, 2.8 etc. etc.).. This is for us. TT's have their own timeslips page. You don't see any one of our members trying to be on one of those pages do ya? Nope. Why is that? Because its not comparable. Two different worlds.

I was reading up on the other page and apparently redbird is around 13.04@104 and another guy is around 13.13? Any validity from these guys yet, magnus?!

you should also add in what track the car was run at. I know v6power.net has that. It is an important factor since altitude comes into play.

Then quit making comments like that and it will be a better place. It's hard for everyone to keep a good attitude when the leadership is making dumb comments like that.

Thanks steve for your constructive criticism.

Comments and attitude make people.. Factual information, experience and technical specs make firebirdv6.

I was a newbie once too.. and I found a smaller site where I made home.. I spent much of my time there. Nobody ever mentioned the BIGGER site where all the experienced people were. Nobody mentioned it because the members of the board I was on were not welcome over there. They were the bridge burners.

When I found the bigger site I couldn't be happier.. But I spent so much time as a newbie on a smaller, less imformative site not knowing there was much more out there for me to read.

Smaller sites hurt the newbie, not us experienced people. The newbie finds such site and settles in thinking he is at THE best V6 site out there when in fact, he has yet to find firebirdv6.com.

I started on f-body.net. People made comments toward camaroz28.com as "the other" site.. I asked several times what "the other" site was but never got an answer.. well one day another newbie asked the same question and somebody did post camaroz28.com... I found that site and never went back to f-body.net

This is my story.

I hope the newbies find Firebirdv6.com well.

I have been to other sites, and I don't really like them. This place gives you answers, no bs. I did recently check out v6power.net and I just need to say, 12sec or magnus, you've got to hit the 11s. Come on a v6 stang in the 11s before a camaro or firebird. Those cars suck nut.

Well personally I think all the sites should work together.

I mean who cares which site is which, I am a member of all 3 sites, and try to help everyone all 3 sites.

I have gotten information on www.fbodyv6.com that I ahve not gotten here or www.camaroz28.com, I have gotten information from here, that I have not gotten from www.camaroz28.com, and www.fbodyv6.com. And I have definently gotten information form www.camaroz28.com that I did nto get from here or www.fbodyv6.com.

All I care is to make my car faster and other people's cars faster for little money.

Sites have there downfalls too, here I get to hear "ohh you have a 3.4L, you should stop modding and get a 3.8L", on www.camaroz28.com I here occasionally, "ohh you have a v6, you should stop modding and get a v8." I don't read that as much on www.fbodyv6.com, but could be do to less traffic, but I still get information, and hand it out to people.

Being an outkast board? I am over there and I have never been outkasted on the 5 message boards I post on pretty consistently, even a v6 Stang one with a very similar screenname that I have now.

I want ot have a faster car, not argue which board is the best.
