Well, I just got back from the track and I can't say how happy I am! I mean every time I have gone out I have gone faster and faster. As of September 6, 2002 at 8:58PM I ran a 15.774@86.58mph at Orlando Speed World. The thing I can't believe is that I still am stock with 3.08's. That is unless you call putting a 1000cfm cone K&N connected to the stock intake tubing a mod? I know I don't think its that big of a deal, but maybe it is? All other information on my run is in my signature. What do you guys think of it?

Your times are good but your speed is low - I was running 10.1 at first in my bird but at 72mph through the traps... Those 308s are REALLY holding your car back.

    15.7's on 308s is impressive - congrats!

LMAO.....that is pathetic for a 3.8! I have a friend with a 2.3 stang that will tear you a new one. Funny thing is that he's still stock. :D

BTW, he has stickers! That's the only reason he went 15.7 in HOT weather! Cheater.

The question is, where can I get the most stickers for my money?

my first run ever was a 15.7 with a .552 r/t. but your MPH is low... i don't see you getting much more out of it w/o doing mods.

Yeah my MPH is lower than I would like. But the weather even though it wasn't the worst, it could have been much better. I think that I can muster up a 15.6 something in the good weather. I mean when I ran that 15.77 I was racing a friend in his '94 Z-28 so I got excited and went real hard off the line. So I spun a little off the line. Then I head him take off and he showed me what spinning was really like. I didn't think he was ever going to hook. Man I want to make my 6 shooter fast or get an 8 in it. But I can say last night I was very happy with the way the car ran. Thanks for all the replies. -Vic-

For the weather he was in.....he really did do good IMO. It wasn't a nice night but it could have been much worst too. I'll give him props though, it still looks nice.

Sooo, your friend with the 2.3 is going to "tear him up" running a 15.70 against this guys 15.74?

btw goodjob silver97, im sure theres more left in it before a gear change. i got down to a 15.41 until I gave in and swapped to 3.42s. if it ever gets any cooler down there in orlando make a trip back to the track, you'll be pleasantly surprised

Heck yeah dawg.....that's without the NAWS. The 2.3 is even stock. I have another friend with a 2.8 that will give him an even better run. It's stock too with 238k miles.

Why would you put NOS on a Blazer? L O L!!! Probably 15.7 WITH IT! Anyway, Silver97, really good times. Especially considering the 3.08 gears. Think of what you will run if you get 3.42s!! BTW that 60 ft time is really good with the 3.08s.

                        Lets not do this!

I agree with Dominic, very impressive specially for 3.08's.

This is NOT a "pissing match" here.

You will not tell me that you "have a buddy that will whip my *** " in this forum.

All you that don't know a 3.8 with 3.08 gears almost stock, can just sit back and bite your tongues now.

Good job on the times!! Keep pushing for more ;)
