  • M5 Launch...spinning all of a sudden.

Okay, so all of a sudden when I launch I am spinning the wheel (yes one wheel) alot. This never happened before. I have done no mods recently but a K&N, fan switch, and thermostat. I know none of these would cause this.

I am launching the same way that I always have too.

Is my clutch doing something wierd or did I just magically grow a lead foot?

    TIA

As a clutch warms up it usually increases grip until it hits the critical temp where it then decreases grip and becomes slick.

You're probably just letting the clutch out a bit quick for that RPM when the clutch is warmed up... try releasing it slower or dropping RPMs a bit.

adam, the last times you raced me, you weren't on a COMPLETELY empty tank like you were last night. that's weight OFF of the back end, so that means less traction. remember when i took of my old muffler? ya, i had BAD traction probs. then i put my spare tire and jack in and that fixed the problem. with more gas in your fuel tank you won't have as big traction issues. i think that's your problem.
