If so how? Slicks, nos, weight reduction?

Completely true!!
I have never said it can not be done, it just has not been done yet.
Sure, if you have endless amounts of cash yopu can do anything

It takes more than what he listed to get a 3.8L into the 13s? My buddy with a stock engine and stock tires just ran a 13 with nos only.....
Back to the original topic. To get a 3.4L into the 12s would require a lot of engine work and nos or a turbo setup. Tiago just got his turbos on but hasn't run it yet. Hopefuly he will be in the 12s but not sure yet.2000 turbo/intercooled M5 Black Firebird
349.5hp and 415.3tq @ 4400rpms

i got the 3.4 as well, i just installed a nx kit on it, and i plan to give it the first run this weekend with the kit, there seems to be a lack of parts out there for our motor. But it makes sense, since most people would get the 5.7 if they want power, unfortunately we all cant afford it. It would take some serious motor mods to get the car that fast, either that or shave 2500lbs off it. Too bad the camaro's are so heavy, and too bad the 3.4 only had 160 horse, which is the same as most 3.1 motors had those years.Check out my car @ www.grodzmotorsports.com:8080/camaro2.html

It\'s not what you make, it\'s what you spend!

1994 Chevy Camaro 3.4, m5, t-tops, silver exterior, gray interior.

Many modz! check out the site for details!

You can get a riding lawn mower into the 12s with enough nitrous. Well maybe some internal work, but for the right price, it can be done.

Can't you send out your internals and have them coated with something (i forget what its called) and it makes them stronger. How about having someone custom make you forged internals. IF you can get that, the skys the limit, i would think.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

yep you cna get custom pistons
yep you can modify certain small block connectiong rods, or you can get custom and yes ytou can get a custom crank, its all been done before jsut not on 4th gen v6s
YOu can also get an aluminum block if you wnated

I was just wondering if it is a realistic goal? 12secondv6 runs 12's on a 3.8, so why couldn't a 3.4L? If the hp and torque are high enough to equal a 12 second v8 Fbody, then why couldn't it work. If I put slicks on my car, a NOS kit, a custom turbo put on it, and cylinder head work, suspension, and weight reduction, then it should be possible ;) .

turbo setup will cost alot of money to do it right. Theres not a big market for v6s for ppl to study the car and hp gains compared to v8s or 4 cyl engines. If you have enough money you can do ne thing. But the "MAJORITY" of ppl who own v6s dont have the money to spend to go fast. A good guesstimate of price to this would be 10k plus.If you want to go fast for cheap get a DSM for 3k and put 3k at most in performance parts and run 12s all day. Its very possible, just never been done.
people have gotten motors with less power, and less displacement to the power that is required to propel a 3500 lbs. car into the 12s.
$10k?
Tiago built his turbo for waht $3000-3500? 100 shot of nos? Maybe another $2k for custom pistons, and rods, and soem head work. 12s are possible jsut never been done.
