well, i finally got out to the track. temp was about 78 and humidity was about 60% in seguin, texas (right outside of san antonio). anyway, it was a blast, but out of 10 lousy runs, my best time was:

60 ft.--2.357
1/4 et--15.78
1/4 mph--86.85

i had a few higher mph runs--highest was like an 88 i think. but it's weird, cause for those times i would have expected low 15s or even high 14s? a stock lt1 ran no better than a 14.4 all night and brand new collectors edition TA ran only a 13.9--so that gives you an idea of the circumstances and the bad weather/elevation/stuff. o well, no biggy, doesn't really bother me. nothing is cooler than paying the money i did to see a turbo'd 5.0 L mustang run a 7.8@194.1 mph

You never hit 88 bastage. I'm calling BS I was there. You forgot to mention that I won 8 out of ten races, losing 1 time to you because of RT. Oh well.

So let's tell the whole story. Anyway it was me (Matt, car 36), Evan (car 35) and my friend Ryan (02 Jetta 1.8T, bone stock... car 37).

My first run ever, aganst the Jetta (I lost our one and only street race by a bumper)

I ran:
rt: 1.4592
60': 2.3474
1/4: 15.7789
mph: 86.48

Jetta ran 16.47@88.09 with a 2.9 60'

My best... I was up against Evan:
rt: 1.0929
60': 2.3233
1/4: 15.6421
mph: 86.82

That was the first race I lost, Evan managed to school me in RT. I had a better ET by ~0.2

Ok so later we decide for me to see how much my anti-free ram air plate affects the performance. So I put it in...

so I run a 15.9571 @ 85.11 mph. The run right before with nearly identical 60' I ran 15.7350 @ 86.78... so I say the FRA is worth it

Ok, so my last race was my worst (second one i lose) Up against the Jetta...
rt: 0.9225
60': 3.0482
1/4: 16.7102
mph: 85.87

LOL I was power braking too high, the track was getting slicker, and then when the light turned green I mashed it... spin!!!!! I was like, dang cause the Jetta took off... And that is my story.

Ryan hit the best mph with a ~15.9s @ 90.28mph... he was runnin low 16's (hit high 15's once) cause he couldn't seem to get the 60' down (best of 2.7648s)on that FWD.

Evan accidently left his car in 2nd, and hit the limiter at the 1/8th mile...

So I saw a 02 TA CE hit a 15.1...
LT1's were running high 14's
LS1's were high 13's
Z06 ran high 12's
Turbo Supra ran high 13's
Lightining was low 13's (pulley change )
V6 Mustangs were low 16's consistantly
Two Civics were runnin low 13's (had turbos)
GN ran mid 12's

You get the idea...

Ryan and I had about 3/4 of a tank when we got there... Evan had barely less than us. I ran with 0 weight reduction... completely in street condition. I did not do burnouts. Hopefully when I go again, I will get better.

BTW, the Jetta get's a chip Saturday for sure... 250HP... I told Ryan he will run slower cause his 60' will get even worse

EDIT: They towed that Outlaw clas Mustang with a Honda 4 wheeler, it was really funny.

fastest speed was 86.8 mph--i went back and looked at them, sorry, i really thought i had run an 88 when i ran against the jetta--turns out i was looking at his mph, not mine...and this post was about my runs, THAT'S why i didn't tell about you or the jetta; figured you'd make your own post. o well.

holy crap you suck-

my best was a 15.7 s @ 89 mph in 100 degree temps and shizzy *** tires wheel hopping thru first- but i still love ya

im sure with practice you'll easily knock off a few tenths- i did.

your mph is low- whens the last time you did fuel filter, fuel system cleaner? basic maintenence stuff like that you usually dont think of.

i keep my car in better tune than most people--everything is always up to date and always in good shape. my time might "suck" but matt was with me everytime, sometimes ahead, and sometimes behind--he and i have the same mods so i know it's either the driving that sucks or the conditions, or both. i'm thinking it's the conditions though considering what the lt1's and the ls1's were running--pure crap. if i had run what i thought i was going to run (high 14s) i would have been right up there with the only lt1 there (averaged mid-high 14s). my first run i ran against a trans am ls1 and his time was a 14.1 while mine was a 15.8.

also, if i'm going to get flamed for posting my times, i'm going to delete my own post. secondly, i beat you one time not because of RT but because you put your anti-ramair plate back in and i won by over a tenth of a second.

my main reason for posting was to inform everyone of my times and the crazy 7 second car--i did NOT put my times to be criticized. if you think i "suck", come race me and then you can say i suck all you want if you beat me. otherwise, don't criticize please.

conditions were BAD. PERIOD. if two y87s are running high 15s, and lt1's were running high 14s and ls1's were running high 13s, it's obvious that everyone wasn't just driving bad.

look people, i dont see why yall are saying "u suck" or "you cant drive" cause i garuntee you if you post ur first times you ever ran at a track they would be almost just as bad (not saying urs are bad evan ) with a few exceptions out there, it takes practice and skill to run good times, its not just floor it and go if some of yall dont know yet. just lay off the rude comments please cause thats not what this board is for, its for helping others and giving advice.

I agree the mph was low. It's funny that both of us ran 86mph every single time except for me when I put my anti-FRA plate in (ran an 85mph). So whatever... don't think that is because of filters plugs wires on two different cars making them both run 4mph slower.

Just seemed like everyone was slower by a second than what they "should" be. Maybe everyone there was just crappy at driving and didn't maintain their cars.

I didn't mean that as a flame... i was just kidding around.

And in actuallity, Evan beat me the race in which I ran my best ET, not the one in which I had the anti-ram air plate in. Had much lower rt... like I said.. he outdrove me by a lot in that one.
