Altitude will be there very soon.

I will not accept correct timeslips.. Not today, not tommorow not a year from now.. They just aren't accurate.

Example. Joe schmo runs 13.6 NA.. I go to denver at 4K altitude and run 14.6 and it corrects to 13.59.. that would be trouble.

I would agree with Keith on this one.. I'd compare it to the Home Run record Babe Ruth set in baseball. His record was broken by a man who played more games than him in the season. At first, due to political reasons, they put an asterisk by Maris' name, but since then they've smartened up and realized that the most HR is the most HR's period.

Anyone associated with the Babe knows that he had fewer games played, and they can feel good about that, but reality is reality.

I would like to see the altitude posted, but the time should be the actual time you ran.

          IMHO

ps... WOO HOO, i'm at the bottom of the list!!! Nowhere to go but up baby!

I understand the problem. I guess I just need to drive up to New Jersey or somewhere cold and low, eh?

My problem is the ignorance of some members who try to make smart@$$ comments on your time without checking your location. Plus I have a severe case of altitude envy!

I was going to suggest having keith do the corrections, requiring a photo of the tracks elevation as posted by the track. That way its fair to everyone. But I like the idea of just posting the altitude!

Just thought of another analogy... sorry it's baseball again.

Do players NOT on the Colarado Rockies get some kind of HR adjustment at the end of the year to make up for the fact that they spend all their games hitting in the thick sea level air of every other city?

Why not? They have a major disadvantage. Their balls have to travel though thicker more restrictive air.
