more than likely its driver experience. the more ya practice the better ya are. I knew two guys who both had SS 'maros. one guy had a bunch of mods and the other only had exaust. The guy with just the exaust would always run pretty even with the guy with mods cause he was a better driver. could also be something wrong with your car that u dont know about of course.

He may be stock but he could have 3.42 gears compared to you maybe having 3.08 gears. There are a lot of possibilities. Stock doesn't mean slower necessarily.
