thanks

Learn to live with it. It ain't going anywhere. unless you get the PCM reprogrammed.

live w/ it....whatever man.

the limiter kicked in at like 95 b/c ive got 3.73s, the speedo was far as it could go.

i dont need to know how fast im going in the 1/4 mile, i'll find out on the timeslip...

i pulled the fuse to the gauges, i'll see if the limiter kicks in.

the VSS cable and the ABS sensor is the only way to disable it like that. Of course you wont have a speedo or abs either and it could cause other problems at high speed - not recommended for onroad use, only used in dyno testing!

jpoe palermo had the same problem in his supercharged 99 Camaro. he was hitting the limiter waaaaaaay beofre the end of the track and could only get a 14 flat.

i have thoguht about hooking a toggle switch to the VSS, so you could disable it.

another thought, is hook up a multimeter to the VSS, see the voltage at like 60mph or when you are in overdrive(if you ahve an auto), then find a way to splice in and send the smae amount of voltage to the PCM, making it think hte car is going 60, instead of whatever you are going.

may have to be a speed when you are in overdrive, AI mnot sure how well the auto tranny is linked with the computer. I am sure someone else can get you that answer.

trapping faster then 95 mph in the 1/4? with 3.73s? not bad.

also doesn't jet chip stage II disable it?

This is why I run 323's
I used to have 410's and would hit the limiter at 85 mph!!!
It sucked!!!
Either run less gear or taller tire.
Are you juicing to get that mph? You probably are, just so you know when the limiter is hit the fuel is cut off, that is very bad!!

i gotta FPSS.

I cant use the jet chip with nitrous though.

i pulled the fuse to the gauges, they dont do anything now, think that'l work?

I am not sure but worth a try.

jeez I can see myself in a highway race opening the door looking for the fuse on the speed limter

doesn't the SLP speedo caliber work, couldn't you trick the car into thinking you had 2.73s?4

i can wire a switch to whatever is needing the fuse to toggle on/off, but im not sure if it'll work. if the gauges arent moving, does the car still know its speed, RPMs? i mean its got a computer and all.

Speedo not working is very bad I had this problem with my first scu2000 going haywire and frying. When the speedo isn't working your car will not shift......I ran a 24@40 bouncing off the rev limiter in 1st gear all the way down the track!

i pulled the fuse already to see what happens, the gauges dont move and the car drives fine.
