I'm here in southern cali and I finaly was able to get a few runs at the track. The track is a 1/8th track, but it's so popular it's not even funny. The races are every Thursday night and there's everything from nastalgia pro streets to import drag cars with some tornado sounding turbo's. It was crazy, like a 71-72 Camaro did a wheely all the way down the track. It was about .8 slower then the turboed Mercury Cougar.
As for me I raced a 99 3.8 Camaro, a friend, we had just done her FRA with a K&N filter, she has a Jet chip, and exhuast with an A4. My second run I raced like a 98 Eclipse, it was really loud but really slow. My third run I raced like a 95 Cobra, he had a little girl with him so he didn't even really race, it was a waste. I think he was scared, lol. Na, I thought I was going to get killed. At that track if you have a passenger you can't go over 85 so.... I wish I knew how to get pics up or I'd post the slips but anyway.
My car is a 97 Camaro, A4, open diff. w/ 3.08's, Falken 255/45/17's all around with decent tread in the back. My mods are as follows, SLP CAI, RK Sport headers(leaking a little bit), 3" piping all the way back with a 2 2/2" Carsound high flow cat exiting a rear section directly into the muffler Borla. I have a manual fan switch. I have a 87 Trans Am 1 piece 3" steel driveshaft, mac torque arm with the big plate that you have to drill into the cabin to mount, 2 point sub frame connecters(welded), panhard rod. I ported my throttle body a while back when I was just learning about cars and I think I might be running slightly lean at higher RPM's, I'll be finding out this week.

She's not a very good driver. And being that that was my first run I didn't do so well either. I spun off the line and I didn't shift at all. I had it in D. I almost sucked her up though. I think that 10.3 is about her best time, ever. I haven't talked her about how she drives. But I raced my friends 99 R/T and he pulls 9.5's. I was driving her car and we raced on the street and the 99 with the Jet chip was pulling on him and he only had half a car lenght. We were hitting about 90 so we had to slow down.
In my second race, I went up to this guy with a riced our Eclips and asked him to race me. He was very reluctant to race me and checked my car out. He even asked me why I wanted to race him. I thought it would have been pretty close, I guess I was wrong. This time I consontrated on stalling and shifting from 1st. This is what happened. Oh, I know my R/T sucked big fat sweaty monkey balls but it doesn't really matter for this type of racing. It was more of a personal thing. I'll try my best R/T's when I go to Customer Appreciation Day in Vegas on the 12th, then it's on.

I didn't notice any spin but is it me or am I missing like 2mph or what. I think the reason is that I never slipped it into OD. Next time I'm going to slip it into OD around 55. lol, I couldn't believe what a piece of sh!t that Eclipse was. It was so loud and it went no where.
Okay, my last run was against the Cobra which the guy had his little girl in it. I could not understand for the life of me why someone would do that. I dought he would have 85 anyway, I guess mustang drivers are just dumb f*cks or something. I really wanted to see what his car could do. I was kind of pissed off that he didn't race for real. There was a few 5.0's but I just them.

A couple of things to note. I had my 12" subs w/box and amp in the car. I didn't think I was going to race. Next time I'm going to take that sh!t out and the passenger seat, maybe even the back seat. Probably not the back seat. I also had a full tank of gas. Next time I'm going to stick some NOS octane booster in there and see what she gives me. Also, on that last run I think I roasted the tires a little too much so.... I'm gonna see if I can get some LCA's when I go to Vegas, maybe even a Zexel Torsen diff. But definetly the 1LE LCA's. They're going to be like 35 bucks. I can't pass that up.
