well first run I had a 1.1 r/t and a 15.56 1/4 ... second time I had a 1.2..not much difference...but I ran a 15.45 1/4??? Im happy for my first time at the track...my wheels hoped off the line?? I still won both races...A tiburon and a civic :D ....
The RT has nothing to do with the ET. The timer doesn't start until after you move. You can sit on the light for 5 seconds and still pull off the same ET as you would if you cut a .500 light. In bracket racing, your RT is important, otherwise it's nothing. BTW, to improve your RT, don't wait for the green, launch at the last yellow light. Nice times, glad you enjoyed yourself.

he means shallow staging....shallow staging is when you barely turn the pre-stage and stage lights on...when you roll in further and the top light goes out, thats deep staging, you will run a tiny bit faster by shallow staging because you have farther to go before you roll out of the beams, its kind of like a small rolling start...
but doesn't shallow staging give you an advantage where the timer doesn't start until you started rolling a bit. It may worsen your R/T if you leave at the usual time, but isn't that the case?

yep its true but wen i go to the track they see loud Camaro, then they see nitroused Trnas am, Even if I had a -2 Reaction time, I still may get beat. In those races, I sometiems try to at least beat them to the 330', with my launch and r/t, but if he has slicks I jsut got for my best ets.
If you have slow reaction times try launching at the last yellow light untill you start red lighting. This is a good way to start untill you get the feel for things.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
