So your worst time is a 15.58 ...... interesting. Anyways ive noticed about 0.2 loss with cutout open. But ill soon see if that was a fluke on wednesday at the track.

why doees everyone say a cutut slows you down, depends where you have it setup.

I ran stock manifolds thorugh a cslighlty clogged CAT and no i-pipe or muffler, and pulled some of the best times for a 3.4L consisntently for months. And that is mroe free flowing then a cutout at the end of a I-pipe.

Granted there is a point where too much flow hurts you but I am nto sure a cutout by the muffler is it.

depends on your mods as to whether or not a cutout will help you.

On a side note, how does your cutout sound. I am thinking about doing this to my 02 camaro, right after the cat. Sounds like it is really working out for ya. Also how is the sound inside, is it really bad, i mean does it get annoying?

It sounds great... theres a huge difference between putting it before the axle, and right after the cat. The people I hang out with are mainly LS1 guys and they have nothing but compliments. Its not really annoyin, its loud and if you have any rattles... you will hear them for sure... Also, I have 2.75" pipes, so the echo is deeper, all I have to say on this is if you want one, get one, if you dont like it, cap it up... but I think you need some intake mods before you can go for the cutout, you need some air coming in to get alot coming out.

I do have some intake mods, about the same as yours. Look in my sig. In anycase i think i am gonna get it done. Sounds like a worth wild mod. I know the 3.8 will sound awesome. Thanks for the info dude.

OK, so where do you guys suggest putting a cut out? right after the cat or right before the axle?

Seems like the best place, for sound that is, is right after the cat. I will know better whne i get my cutout installed this week. :D
