Hey you guys this was my first time out on the track here in indianapolis at Indianapolis Raceway Park and it was the first time i ever raced. Well anyways my best run was a 16.3 ! Why the **** is my car so damned slow ? It has no modifactions what so ever. The temp was around 50-57 degrees and I didnt do anything to tires or anything. I also left my books and bookbad and amp and sub all in the car. Someone please tell me why my car is so slow? I weight 290lbs myself.

every 100 lbs is .1 of a second slower. stock, in ideal conditions, you should run about 15.6 + .3, maybe .4 depending on the weight of your stereo stuff, you are right about where you should be.

umm...u probly have 3.08's, cuz when i g-teched my car(3.42 open diff, stock), I got about 15.5 sec., and I'm 300 lbs. I'm probly lower than 15.0 right now w/ the mods' I've done and will be around 14.5-14.7 when I get my ftra and lsd put in, HPP3 installed, along w/ wider rear tires. Been kinda busy, so everything's been pushed back a bit in my timeline.

get a 1 piece drive shaft, that will help you out a lot.

replace the muffler, maybe find a cheap CAI, and in the meantime - save up for either a Nitrous kit, supercharger, or a head/cam swap if you're ready to deal with headache. dont waste your money on little mods, trust me.

Im guessing its your altitude naptown. Call your drag stip and ask the altitude. The weight and lack of practice never helps though.
