god i love trash talkers. i have street tires too, why doesnt anyone friggen see that im not running nittos? and 00 manifolds are just as good as the ****ty rksport headers, i just got em cause i didnt know any better. and i guess my BROKEN TRANSMSSION doesnt equate for anything? i see people must run better with it, you and your stock clutch, id rather have a stock clutch and a trans that worked. we dont push enough power na to worry about a clutch. not like its gonna help on street tires running 100% na.

LOL, :D .
Me too!
Come to think about it, my transmission was acting funny like synchros rattling and input shaft grinding funny when I ran that time.

I'm not bashing your run or anything but all I was saying was I made a similar run compare to yours with what I've got and what the "other" guy was saying that you'll put a bigger gap on me.

Who said anything about nittos and such? All I mentioned was I was running on "215s". You know the skinny stock tires that GM put on these cars to begin with?

As for the stock exhaust manifolds, you're slightly misleading the facts. The stock exhaust manifolds **including the Y pipe** suck a s s especially the Y pipe.:cringe: I know its almost like headers but its still not, hence **almost**.

About the clutch? If Ironman24 a.k.a. Mike ran his car 14.3-14.4 on a stock clutch and held on when he dynoed his maro w/ juice 500 +/- lbs of torque I think that says alot about our stock clutch don't you think?

Now I don't mean to get this thread turned into trash talking but its all good and fun, right? ;)

Happy Racing...

I don't know after paying for my 4th clutch I am thinking maybe stock clutches do not hold up well.

I'm going to have to agree that stock clutches suck. If I floor the car in 2nd gear it slips like no other. Just wait till the spring my friend...I should have the m-5 cookin' Chi-Town Style!

yep mine done that plenty of times it was worse at the track when the car sat for a long tme I would rev it high and ride it a little as I lined up at the line, warming it up, it normally helped.

My expereince is new clutch grips then abotu 3-4 months later starts slipping when I slam 2nd, and stays like that for couple thousand miles then gets to the point you floor it nad it gets revvy like its in neutral.
