1st time ever.
My quickest time was 15.921 @ 86.54mph.
I had a lot of fun and now see why you guys are nuts about this sport.
Just thought I would share that. I'm still excited
Congrats man! That's awesome for your first time... mine ws 16.7 :D
Can you post the rest of the slip, 60', 1/8th et etc.?? What temperature at the track?
Thanks!

16.8 for my first time (car was hot, stock, temp was hot, humid, and I DIDN'T POWER BRAKE LOL)
Good run, you'll get hooked on improving your time. Keep us updated on mods and et's in the future!

This was my 3rd run so I was still working on my r/t. My quickest r/t was .681 but .9 was my average.
It was about 70 deg and I have no clue about the humidity. It started to rain 30 mins down the road so it had to be sort of humid.
There was a 3.4 out there that was running high 17s with the owners dad driving. I don't see why he let someone else drive his car down the track the whole time. What's the fun in that.
There was also a girl driving 89 2.8 firebird that was running 18s and wooping ars in the brackets.

Well, I'm in a similar boat as you and everyone is recommending 3.42's with LSD followed by a converter
Don't worry about reaction.. it is nice to get a low one, but it doesn't mean anything when doing timetrials. Those numbers are great for your first time out though.

Mine came with a one piece.
I'm thinking about a cam, 2500 stall converter, and 3.42 posi. Then headers and cai in the future.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
