  • 110 Octane??? Need advise ASAP!!

Well me and Mike24 are headed to the track tonite (Atco) and I was wondering if I can put 110 octane in my car? Its leaded and I know it will eat the cat, and I dont care. But will it be ok to run this or will I have to change timing, due to the fact that 110 burns slower and hotter? I would only be putting in a gallon w/ 93 so it would prolly equal out at about 100 or so octane. Any advise will be appriciated!!
    Thanks,
    Branndon

You don't need it. You will be faster with 93.

Oh, ****, I put 110 octane in my car last week cuz I was on 'E' at the track.
It did run alot faster though. And I dont see anything wrong with my car... (Maybe it was unleaded 110)

I ran unleaded 110 same situation runnong low, no change in runs but car exhaust smelled sweet, and my o2s did goiu out not long after but they had over 110k on them, so bound to happen anyways.

93 octain will burn faster than 110..

Higher octaines is mostly for higher compression motors or power adder cars to help prevent pre-ignition.

Yeah they make I think 108 Octane Unleaded. I put a little in at the track because I can only get 91 octane at the pump. I have like 5 gallons or less of 91 and a gallon of 108 I think it makes a little over 93 octane, which is more than enough for an 85 shot!

I ran 109 Unleaded at the track with my nitrous run. Car ran fine. This was a long time ago so I dont know if it is related but now I have 2 bad O2 sensors.
