improved times

last thrusday I went back to the track to see it I can improve on my times that I had last month which was 16.112@ 83.71 with a 60 of 2.264. Now this time I ran a 15.790@84.95 with a 60 of 2.282. Since the last time I went to the track I have but a new high flow cat and have got new tires and the temp has dropped from 86 to 53 degrees. My car seem so run fine but looking at all the people with similar time their MPH is a lot higher than mine. Does any one have any ideal of what could be wrong with my car.


My mods are Ram air hood, whisper lid with a K&N filter,3in cat/3in exhuast, flowmaster 80series muffler,and a transgo shift kit. Its a 98 camaro A4 with Y87 package. I am not as mad as I was when I was running 16's, I think my car can do better.

congrats man! improving your times always feels good.

just a thought, do you clean your K&N filters? they should be cleaned every 10k miles or so. a friend of mine hasnt done his in 40k+ miles, i cant wait to see how filthy black they are.

What was your 1/8 mile and MPH?

1/8 was 10.090 and my filter was out when I ran that pass. at 69.38 mph
