• i am back WITH A VENGANCE

back in 2000 when my car was a puppy, we used to play together all the time. i used to take him to the park, to the mall, to the movies, just about everywhere. we were best of friends-my car and me. we were unseperable! wherever you saw me, you saw my car. wherever you saw my car, you could bet your bottom dollar, you would see me nearby. almost 2 years passed and my car and i grew strong together. our relationship blossomed like no other. and in thsoe 2 years we shared dreams. dreams of good times and good trap speeds.
well, just like all my other relationships i failed my car. i stopped giving to him what he needed to reach his dream-to reach my dream. and why? all because of a woman. well, i vow to to you, my fellow fbuds, i will never let another woman get inbetween me and my car. i promise to my car, to myself i will not fail him again. i will not give up untill we reach 14.0 n/a. with me or without me my car WILL do 14.0 n/a, and this i promise today, here on camarov6, here in drag racing, WHERE I BELONG.

thank you for listening,

nino

Well Nino i am very sad to here that you have given up complete hope on your car. 3.8 is a great motor and has some serous untaped potental. I know your car has been fustrating for you and it seems every time you turn around it lets you down. Spending money and having the car not get any faster is something i struggled with also with my old 87 GN. I toke the easy road and got rid of the car, but now I regret as i look back on things that could have been with the car if I would have kept it. My point is that the car had the pontental to be something great but i gave up hope in it and sold it the 1st change i got. Taking the easy way is not always the best way and it will always leave me wondering what could have been if I would had stuck with the GN. I know what you are going through and i know it is not easy but trust me, if you stick to it, there will be great rewards at the end. There is a happy meaden that you and your car have to reach and i know it can be hard to reach at times, but keep at it and i believe that happy meaden will be acheved. In essence an LS1 swap seems like the easiest way out but i feel getting the 3.8 to run high 13s will be more rewarding than an LS1. Don't give up hope just yet, there is a way, it just needs to be found. ;)

toast, i am not giving up on the 3.8 just yet. parts are on order and my mechanic is ready to roll. its just the swap has always been in my head, and now more so than ever. back at 20,000 miles i was going to either do a swap, custom turbo, or heads/cam. as you know i chose heads/cam. i have had my problems, but i will survive!
i have yet to give up on the 3.8 totally-i havent hit 13s yet!
