• 13.7 @ 102 :)

I'm so happy...my friend has a 2002 SS and the best he can do in it is 13.88...but me behind the wheel and I top him. Plus he can't break 9.0 in the 1/8th and I get him at 8.8. Man the V8 is a real pain to launch, I could only get a 2.2 60'. BTW this thing is bone stock. Just a K/N and a Flowmaster muffler.

    Nice run.

BTW does your friend have the 6 speed or the auto?

      A4

I'm used to brake stalling the V6 to around 1800 (tires spin around 2000). On the V8 the tires start spinning at a lowly 1300RPMs I had to brake launch it at 1050RPMs...what a pain. 2.2 60'

How many miles does it have? Most a4 ls1's especialy 02's have trapped 103-104 on a bad day. My friend's stock down to the air filter Ws6 went 13.2@108. Man, ya gotta love the ls1 though.

Sounds like you have a 2.73 car, get some 3.73's and some sticky tires and you may have a fast car ;)

The car should be trapping higher than 102, more like at least 104-107... ;)

well it has 5000mi on it and it's 3.42s with stock tires. I think the main problem is getting traction on the launch. Even though it has "new" tires that thing still spins badly. Put some slicks on it and we're good to go.

edit: my friend with an LS6 Trans-Am took it for a spin and pulled a 13.6 @ 102 also. Everything was the same except he had a slightly better 60'. I dunno...maybe the motor didn't break in yet.

edit2: we raced a 13.5 Z28 on the road three times afterwords and beat him everytime. I forgot to mention that people couldn't hook for cr@p. That's what I'll attribute the problem to.

Still 102 is kinda low. Only run I trapped that low was my first run ever. Bouncing off the rev limiter in third through the line. But if your spinning between the 2-3 shift I could see why trap speeds are a little low.

if you dont hook off the line, you would have a higher mph than you would if you would have had traction.....

If you wanted to, you could attest it to my lack of knowing how to drive, BUT the OWNER was hitting 101's AND

                      AND

A buddy of mine with a 12sec LS6 Trans-AM could only muster out the same times. He knows how to drive/deal with the amount of power out of the car. All I can tell you is that maybe the car's a lemon...I dunno...

all I know going 102 N/A is much better than 88 in the V6
