• New times n/a, 14.4???

Damn, I am quite surprised!!!
Just after this new best n/a run I lost my lsd :(
I run 323 gears and a pro yank 3200 converter
60 1.922
330 5.832
1/8 9.132
mph 73.95
1000 12.018
1/4 14.475
mph 91.61

temp 49
rel humid 59
abs barom 30.37

Nitto drag radials at 19 psi
Skinnies at 42 psi
Curb weight w/o driver was 3090 pounds!!!!
Curb weight w/ driver was 3310 pounds
Damn fat *** driver is 220 :(
All I did was stall the converter to 2800-2900 rpm's and let it fly!!!

I tried flashing and stalling the converter
I pulled a 1.958 and 14.518 w/ stalling it
I pulled a 1.997 and 14.584 w/ flashing it

For my converter it seems to like stalling it up, not flashing.
After my 14.475 run I removed the cut out cap just to see if I could go any quicker.
This lead to major wheel spin. I had lost my lsd and was only putting down all my power to one wheel.
My mph did go up to a 92.25 and 91.97 open vs 91.61, 91.54, 91.42 and 91.48 closed.
If I did not loose my lsd the bird might go even quicker.

Looks like I'm moving up the n/a list and I never planned on doing that.

word dawg. i'm proud of ya james please get a cam for me... i think you would be happy with a bigger cam and get a converter that stalls 3600 on juice AND NA, you'll pin keith down one day

not that i like you or keith more than the other lol, but if one person gives another competition, they'll get faster in a shorter amount of time

good luck, and good job with the 14.4, that's a very impressive time for your lack of engine-only mods

I will always run a stock cam.
I really could care less about n/a times.
Porting the snot out of the heads n intake and running weeney 323's really aren't that great for n/a runs, they really work well on nitroused runs though.
Running more converter w/ the nitrous would be insane.
I can't even hook w/ my present converter and a 100 shot.
Just wait til next season when I am spraying a 150 direct port
Traction will be a b!tch then

cool man, you've got my faith regardless of which road you decide. you know more about car stuff than most of wish we could know...and you know from on-hand experience. it's guys like you and keith that set models for us who enjoy the sport of modding. that sounds cheesy, yes, but it's true. i hope you enjoy the car, and keep it running good times, and keep it running safely as well. thx for all your help with things bro.
