I dont understand how this thread keeps turning into N20 tech. I do have a wet kit and its listed in my sig. I know how to use Nitrous and I dont plan on running lean.
It wont be the first time I have used nitrous.

Ive beat a stock auto 2002 Vette at the track with 75 shot and mods in sig. As long as u get traction off the line and dont miss a shift ull take him easily.Past Ride

Your post says on the street, if that is right try to use a flag man instead of a light. Make sure he is your flag man. Come up with a signal, I put my left hand on top of the wheel and I tap my finger and drop the hammer my buddy would drop the flag at the same time. Talk about beating them on the tree. Figure that + his reaction time and you could have close to a sec right there. If he is so confident ask him for a little. Remember street racing is a game, do what ever it takes to win. Once in a bike race a guy gave me a flying 10 bike length head start. I thought he would say no but he said ok, he just knew he was going to smoke me. Yeah I tore him up.I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.

I forgot to mention this guy races real drag cars. He has a 6 second dragster and thats why I dont want to race him in front of a tree. I think his RT would kill mine im almost sure. I really think I benifit winning the race if we keep it on the street.

Do you know if his vette has the performance axle w/ 3.15's or is it the stock 2.73's? That usually makes a 3/10th difference in the quarter. Either way w/ you spraying, i think it will be a nice match, just keep the distance short. when $100 is on the line and the Vette has a serious power advantage, I don't see why not. Friendly race...hell, I'd go for a fair run. That's just me though. I don't like being out of money.

Its a good thing Magnus is here to give him some real info....He dosent want a head start, he wont run lean, he has a wet shot, he will have slicks...

Like edge said I found a local Utah Fbody association member to barrow me some slicks. He has some ET STREETS mounted on salad shooter wheels. I would think et street would be sticky enough. I plan on racing the vette soon now that I have slicks. I will keep you all posted.

If he wasn?t hoping for a head start he would race at the track. He also says, ?I will do anything it takes? Refer to his post for this. You want help winning, do anything you can to assure you have the advantage. Ask to check his motor out pull a plug if you get the chance, see if your dad can ride with him, use your flag man, find a place to race where you can put him in a ?bad lane? a few bumps or a pot hole at the starting line will cause wheel hop for him. DO NOT TAKE HIS WORD ON THE VETTE BEING BONE STOCK!! Would you take a knife to a gun fight? You know that Vette is runn? 14s? on a bad day, you think you could have a 14.6? If you want a fair race take it to the track and run heads up. I can tell you this, if the guy runs a 6sec dragster on a regular basis he will take steps to make sure some kid with a V6 doesn?t beat his Vette.I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
