I know what they do, and I'm pretty sure it would help me, but I don't really know how they work. What goes into the installation? What do I need to make it work? Would this solve my "sidestepping" issue? (see other thread)
From what I've read, it seems like it's more of a launch assist, instead of just a tool for a good burnout, but how would one launch using one of those?

Linelock helps with the burnout.. you basically cut off brake pressure to the rear wheels.

Regarding your side stepping issue, I'd look at the following:
Is one tire wet?
Are the front wheels straight when you start the burnout?
Perhaps LSD is not functioning.
Could have uneven brake pad wear.

Both tires wet, front wheels straight, and the LSD at least seems to be functioning (both wheels spin). As for uneven brake pad wear, thats my only guess. Maybe thats the result of all my one wheel wonders before I installed the LSD.

Edit:
Another thing just occurred to me... this only happens when I have the drag radials on. Street tires this doesn't happen.

Would >this< (solenoid), >>this<< (installation kit), and a switch be all I need?
