  • FINALLY got a 14!!!

I decided to pack up my crap and go to Temple Academy Dragway in search for better air and a 14 second pass...when i got to the motel i took out the spare tire adn my 50lb tool box..

on friday night first pass i ran a 15.14 @ 92.1mph and i was like hey, first pass is normally a little slow and the 60' was only a 2.32...i figured as the night went on the track would get better but it only got worse, that 15.14 was the fastest i ran all night...

i went back to the motel and was disappointed at what i ran and was not even sure if i was gonna go back on saturday...well i put all the weight back in the car to concentrate on consistency, first pass on saturday i ran a 15.12 with another 2.30 60', then as the night when on i kept getting faster, in the semi's of the street meet i ran a 14.89 on the brakes on a 14.95 dial!! then i hot lapped the car and made two real fast time trials and ended up running:

    60': 2.1014
    1/8th: 9.5122
    1/8mph: 72.96
    1/4: 14.8605
    1/4mph: 92.68

    i finally reached my goal!!

Wicked, is the new time with your cutout open or closed?

cut-out open! it feels so much slower with it closed, i dont have any comparison times but i figure SOTP feel is a good enough conclusion.

              i have a RK Sport lid, 180* t-stat, homemade FTRA, 2.5" un-mandrel bent cat-back w/3" cutout right before muffler, 3.73's, zexel-torsen, modified stock LCA's,

Congratulations!! I'm glad you made a successful run at Temple-Academy. I knew it could be done there under the right conditions. Now there's hope for me. I gotta learn how to drive first, though. Congrats, again! :D

Shortdog, what's up with that time in your Sig? Typo, very bad run, or joke?

A-minor, next time you go, go on saturday and run the T/O in between the street meet rounds, the track is way better on those days

Maybe selling my cutout wasn't such a good idea.
