i dunno, too many people, a lot of them on here (no flaming meant here either) just judge times by mods, which is retarted. you have to run your car before you know anything. you can't just assume and say "you should be in the 14s with a TC and the basic intake/exhaust, which I'm assuming you have." cause that's it takes a little bit more.

but whatever, if you would like to flame me (scott) cause you are only ignorant enough to put down my car when you don't even run yours, then i'd rather you just stand there and make you look like a jackass.

      Agreed....

I could careless what mods or how much moeny is put into the car I am impressed with results. I tell people I have a 3.4L with gears, intake and exhaust, and they usually get surprised when I run them.

Also remeber some guy havin liek $7l in his 3.8L and onlny ran like 16.2s awhile back gave up and sold his car.

As for the belt thing... I think its a bad idea...

Fi you can get water pump running, then it owuld be fine.

The fan switch is a bad idea, all your going to do is drain power, form your battery, and cool the coolant in your radiotar, which is nice and all but since you have a lack of a water pump, the cooled coolant will remain in the radiotar and not run through the motor. Thus making it useless.

I ahve been thinking of this, my plans would be run without it, right after i turn off pull inot the grass and rehook up my belt. But I think i might look for a waterpump to crank belt first.

for what its worth i think i drove 30 min. without a alternator connected ot the battery

          back on topic...

[extreme sarcasm]of course the weight reduction factor might make the option of taking off the belt worthwhile[/extreme sarcasm]

hmm... I posted last night but apparently did not go through.

1st. Certain mods do not mean you will run certain times, I hate seeing people say they should be high 14s because so and so had similar mods. Is it possilbe yeah? Is it a gurantee hell no, go to the track and get a time. Drag racing is not point car, and hit gas, lots more involved.

About the drivebelt, I wouldn't reccomend, it but of course you have the idea stuck in my head and I am going to the track to night so I amy try it but I cna add and remove my belt within 30 seconds.

Fan switch will be useless, all it will do is drain battery energy, and it does it very quickly! And it will do a gret job of cooling the coolant in the radiotor which is great in all except your water pump will be non functoining so it will not circulate thorugh the motor.

            Good luck

              LOL..

While I see this debate as very mature and organized, I believe its served its purpose so I'm going to lock it down.

              No harm done.

I'm actually quite impressed by the maturity of it all..
