so i got my bmr boxed lca's in today, and matt, adam, and i installed them this afternoon. then at the last minute, we thought up an ingenious idea on how to scam the people at the track! we decided i could get in the trunk and we could pay for just one person and not two!!! well, they were kidding, but i wasn't so, we go put my nitto's on the maro, and we drive to seguin 60 miles away. 10 miles before the exit, i get out of the car and get in the trunk at a very popular seguin gas station--and i've got about a million people staring at adam and matt as they shut the trunk while i'm in it!!!! anyway, it was crazy in that trunk. we get there and i run 8 times, 5 of which my nitto's proved quite worthy. the other 3 times they spun pretty bad. all my times were centered around 15.0 in some way. my best was:
60 ft: 1.98
1/4: 14.98
mph: 88.53
well, i was happy with a 14. i ran against a 01 camaro with an m5 and intake/exhaust. he ran a 15.4 (his best of the night) at about ~90 mph, while i ran a 15.03@88.7, and i ripped up on him off the line, then again in second gear it appeared i pulled a little on him. either way, it was a fun night out, and now my car has rubber all over the back of it.
btw, my burnouts were LOOONNNGGG and smoky, and waterless, and carried about 30 ft :D and except for 3 of the 8 runs, they hooked great the other times. the boxed lca's were great, they kept me on the ground every single run, awesome mod! w00t!
i'm just awaiting to be criticized by those who keep tellin me "a "blah blah blah e.t." is a slow time for a converted car!" ah, o well.
btw ross--i think i will keep the nittos, they hooked like i didn't think they would :D
