• Little Fun expirement at the track lastnight

Went to the track, didnt plan on making any runs because they were only running 1/8 mile lastnight. Someone brought up the pop up headlights on Birds and how they would act liek air barakes, so I decided to test and see what kind of drop in ET running with the headlights up I would see. I ran first with the headlights down

RT:.514
60'2.056
330'6.031
1/8:9.286
MPH:76.32

Which by the way is my best 1/8 time to date, this was on street tires a short dry hop burn out and 3/4 tank of gas, dangit why couldnt they have been running the 1/4 Second run was with the headlights up, same short dry hop burnout

RT:.508
60'2.053
330'6.094
1/8:9.441
MPH:73.67

So either the pop up lights held the car back considerably or that first run was a freak run :D

I don't thin it held it back that much but im guessing it did make a difference, I usually run around 9.29-9.33 1/8 times consistently

Juiced, you need to have your times in the timeslip page. It seems like the torque converter and drag radials does wonders. ;)

They are, just under RedbirdV6 And yes, the verter woke the car up very well, once I tinkered with it and learned to launch it :D

Ah ok. I thought I recognized your times from the fbodyv6 site. So you went with Yank Converters. I'm gonna have to look into that.

Its the air brake effect. There have been studies done by the Highway patrol regarding loss mph and fuel mileage due to the light bars.
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
