  • Will 15x8 prostars fit a 96 camaro with rear disc brakes?

    I had drums but bought a rearend off a 95-96 z28 which had discs, will the 15x8 prostars fit without and modifications? If i have to do any what will i have to do? And will the 15x3.5 fronts work on my car with front discs?
    Longtubes, true duals, ram air, caspers tps tec, ls1 26lb injectors, supersix powerpack, heads milled .020, comp cam .507 220/224 114 ls, forged internals and chromeoly pushrods, bored .030 over, tb spacer, tranny built with stiffer springs and kevlar bands, bigger servo, transgo stage 3 shift kit, edge 3600 stall, 1 pc aluminum ds, 3.73 superior gears, lsd rear ,custom pcm tuning, walbro 255 in tank,

    Yes they will but u have to grind down the calipers to prepent from rubbing

      What's the best way to grind the calipers??

        wait, if i grind down the calipers wont that create a problem? are you talking about grinding the actual brake calipers or grinding the disc itself? i hope not the disc [img]smile.gif[/img]

          you grind the corners down on the actual caliper. Best way to do it is jack up the rear put on the 15x8s and try to turn the wheels and look at where it si rubbing and just take a handheld grinder and smothout and grind off some of the calier doesnt hurt the brakeing system at all

            also yes the 15x3.5s will work great just need to get a 5/16th spacer for the front i use the 15x3.5

                u can get them from summit really easy to find.

                  grind down the calipers? what year car do you have?

                  just wondering, cause i have drum brakes on the back and they fit fine for me...
