  • Octane?

    What octane is safe to run and will improve times. I was on 87 octane last time i ran, i think im going to go out on 97 next time.

    I think 97 would be overkill. I know several people running 91 octane with not much difference over 87 but with an upgraded ignition 91 might make a difference though not too much.

            c'mon now, let him feel the difference.

            maybe he went from cheapo beepo gas station to a gucci gas station.
            6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

              It seems that my car runs better on 93 octane than 87....I've also noticed when something little in the car changes its noticable to me and not to other people.

                I just use whatever gas the manufacturer recommends.

                For my 3.4L, they suggest 87 octane, so that's what I use. I used to use 91 octane but I fealt no real difference.

                Some people waste money at the pump by using gas with higher a octane rating than what they really need.
