• *New* Competition G-Tech Pro?

So does any one here have it and how accurate is the 0-60 times , 1/4 mile times , and HP and Torque . I just ordered one and wanted to here somewhat about it. On Gtechpro.com they say it is alot more accurate then the last gtech pro , is this true?

Send it back
Go to the track for et's and mph's and hit the dyno for rwhp and rwtq.

Can you honestly say that when someone asks what does it run and you answer XX.XXX per g tech they will beleive you?

I only say this because I have tried it and my bird's times ranged within 1 full second with 4 consecutive runs

Did you have the older version of G-tech? Or the new version?

make sure you set it up right and everything, perfectly level and all. it will still be off by a bit. you will need to know your car's weight also so you can enter it into the gtech and get proper readings.

it (according to the thunderracing website): "can now measure complete G's, horsepower and torque in detailed graphs. Graphs can be download to your PC for further review. Using DSP technology, the GTech/Pro Comp can sense RPM through the cigarette adapter. You can preprogram your redline to use it's built-in shift lite LEDs. The unit is an excellent tool for tuning any car, or seeing how much power gain a new part will give you. "

My boss has an older one and it was off (according to him) by .1 second. I dunno about the HP rating.

I have heard various things...

my opinion form many form what I heard, it is very good for tuning your car, since it is consitent with itself, no one will ever accept it as a timeslip may even get scoffed online, but i feel your pain, I lived in Plantation, FL.

12sec, going to the track consists of about ~$6 in tolls, and 1-1.5 hours driving.

I have considered getting one, I had alot of troubles getting out to the track last semester, only made it 3 times, ran new personal best each time

I've got one and I think it's pretty damn accurate. I've ran at the track with 15.1 and I've run the g-tech at 15.1, even the 60ft times were within a 100th of a second. It might not be dead-on-balls accurate but it's a great tool for tuning your car. You made a good choice, you'll love it don't let every get you down. :D
