if the 95 is really the slowest GT then you shouldn't have a problem, I raced a new model GT with my 3.4 and beat it...raced another auto one and smoked it ...I wouldn't worry

Yeah you should beat him Ive beatin them before. The 3.42s help alot especially if you dont spin.

Mike24 bought 3.42s when he first got his car thinkin he had 3.08s and then had to resell them cause he found out that his car already had them. HAHAHAHAHA mike your dumb. jk

            Good luck youll get him.

With a great driver his car would go mid to high 14's with nice weather conditions and track prep. Don't diss the stock 302 much. I'm not here to flame or anything just because I own one either. I have a friend with a v6 camaro that posts on here too. You might get him off the line as well, but keep in mind he'll probably run you down top end as well. Good luck, and hopefully you will shut his cocky mouth. :D

keep in mind, a 95 gt will run a low 15 stock. if you can beat that, you will take him.

artic...there is no "performace package" thats gonna give a gt 3.55 gears. the lowest gears a mustang came with was a 3.27 in the 4.6s. the 5.0 lowest gear was 3.08. the new cobras and mach 1s come with 3.55s. standard gear in a all new stangs gt, v6 etc (execpt 03 cobra and mach1) are 3.27s.

I have a friend back in my old home town who got a Gt w/ a performance pkg. and 3.55 rear gears. the sticker said it had 3.55 gear gears in it. maybe it was a fluke, but he loved those gears.

the 95 gt stang would beat you, depending on the driver. 6.7 0 to 60 for the stang and yours with your mods 7.6 5ish.....he would not "kill" you but it would be obvious that he is the victor

My best friend owns a '95 Mustang GT 5spd and his car came stock with 2.73's. He can barely bark the tires in 1st gear. And as for the sound, their stock exhaust is pretty freekin loud. A lot of people mistake his mufflers for flowmasters but if you look under the car it says Ford right on them. He also has 6 catalytic converters, the best mod they can do it put on a new x-pipe to eliminate all those cats. If the guy your gonna race has done anything like that then there's a real good chance you could loose. If it's stock it should be a pretty good race. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
