• Another what will I run post :)

Ran a 15.6 w/ a 2.35 60 ft.

That was with the 3.08's and open rear. Since I have added the 3.42's/LSD and y87 programming.

I will be going to the track with a pair of drag radials.

Anyone?

Sam

I've heard anywhere from .5 to .7 gains in the 1/4, depends on your driving ability

I always go to either RCR or Temple, just depending on how far I feel like driving and what day I decide to go. I was just in SA to have the gears installed, and pick up the bumper. I want to go down on a Weds. to the track. We should pick a date and meet.

lol, i wasn't aware of my drag radials being rented out???

however, you won't need the radials at all, you won't be having traction problems even launching the car from 1500 rpms ;) take my word on that one.

get a converter, you can borrow the DR's for a run or two, then i'll make you buy your own, cause that's a LOT of abuse

...must be a track thing? I had traction problems in the colder weather with my 3.08's :(

BFG TA's

245 50 16's

They have about 50% tread left on them.
The track I was at is known for not having the greatest traction which is why i mentioned Only4U's point must have something to do with the track they're talking about.

Only the plus side, only ONE of my tires spins ;)

Dude I couldn't even hook (2.35 60 ft) with my 3.08's and battery right over the non open wheel in the back. I don't think steeper gearing is going to help me any.

I will have DR's ;)

Ah, but you will have LSD...

...that said, you probably wont' hook with the new setup on a track you couldn't hook on with 3.08's open

Get those slicks..

And good luck!

xjarayax I have a question for you: what did the Y87 programming do besides make your speedo work right? Anything?

Made the shiftpoints correct with the new gear installation. Otherwise I'd be shifting a few 100 rpm too short, and that's no good.

Whoa, didn't even think of that. Damn, my car probably isn't running right at all, hardly configured for racing.
I think maybe you might run a 15.1, 15.2 btw, perhaps even touch high 14s

I dunno about everyone else, but I seem to hook as well with my LSD as I did with the open one...except now it hooks harder, more, and knocks off a tenth or so from what my old 60' times were. When did a LSD become a disadvantage like a few of you are talking about????
